Some Sugar and Skulls

Its almost that creepy time of year again! This is a design I created for Nelvana’s Halloween Art Show last year. I hand painted the skull designs (acrylic) and scanned them into Photoshop to add the block of colours. Cute and creepy all in one!

Secret Garden

I created this design for the Global Talent Search 2015 for Lilla Rogers Studio. It was a great experience and taught me a lot about creating art and designs for all sorts of products, from clothing to home decor. Details of the assignment can be found on the Studio’s site here:

I tried two different colour palettes and ended up going with the grey & rose palette which felt more like a vintage floral design, and I think it would appeal to the female character that was created for the assignment. The design was intended for a repeated shoe pattern on canvas-type fabric, but would be great on journals, stationary, purses etc!

Here is a series of illustrations I created for The Zan Society For Animal Wellness to use for their service dog awareness poster.

Great work goes into training and caring for service dogs, which in turn helps so many people who rely on a service dog every day.

shoesI created this digital illustration last year for an art show organized by Tammy Semen called, All Dahl’d Up. Just for this post I added the close up on the shoes – I had a lot of fun with the little details that you don’t really get to see. Various animation artists participated and the show was amazing with a variety of artworks inspired by Roald Dahl’s stories! This is the link to last years event:

And I am excited to be involved again this year with another great group of artists from the animation industry! Its a Wes Anderson theme this year – the show starts this week at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto and runs until Nov. 23. If you are in the area be sure to check it out!
